Bestsellers, Book List

Towne Bestsellers

This week we’ve surpassed 1,000 items sold during self-isolation! It’s a huge milestone (and has kept me very busy processing them all!) and we’re so incredibly grateful for every order that comes through our site. So today, instead of sharing what we’re reading, it’s time to share what our customers are reading!

The Bookshop on the Corner was the most surprising book I saw on this list – it’s one near and dear to my heart and it was a favorite of Mary and the Towne Book Center book club as well. House of Earth and Blood, Sarah J. Maas’s adult debut released in March and one of my favorites has been a mainstay in orders, along with fellow new releases The Splendid and the Vile (another favorite of mine) and The Mirror & The Light, a favorite of Christopher’s.

We always see an increases in sales for the latest Reese Witherspoon book and April’s selection of Untamed was no exception and with the release of the Little Fires Everywhere show, it’s no surprise it’s made the list as well. A lot of our in store revenue comes from required reading and we’re so grateful for all of the Spring-Ford families continuing to support us by ordering Lord of the Flies and A Thousand Splendid Suns.

And last but not least, our book club selections for upcoming months – we would be lost without them! The Last Painting of Sara de Vos and Born a Crime are Towne Book Center Book Club selections, Darkness at Noon is for Classics Book Club, The Decline and Fall of Practically Everybody is for 1,000 Books to Read Before You Die Book Club, and Will and Testament is for Literary Fiction Book Club! Click the button below for more book club books, and stay tuned for Christopher’s last Poetry Month feature tomorrow!
